Managing an extensive team of Engineers, Technicians, Tradespersons and Apprentices, I am responsible for the day to day operation and maintenance of the facilities and utilities at 5 Wing Goose Bay. In addition to this work, I manage a team of designers that create solutions for the DND as well as implement these as projects during the compressed Labrador construction season.

- Responsible for the component design and annual purchasing from such major part/equipment suppliers as Paioli forks, Motion Pro Cables, Josco tanks, Rotax engines, Magura brakes, Kayaba shocks, ANInternational headlamps, Bombardier power pack equipment and Ohlins shocks totaling $4M per annum.- Working with these companies to design and produce prototype parts to meet our initial specifications and then tuning them to meet our design / performance requirements through testing.- From here, scheduling a production slot, following up during primary assembly towards successfulcompletion and securing a delivery date (extensive use of MS Excel, MSWord and MS Project).- Production planning, manufacturing and assembly coordination of 650+ Snow Hawk snowmobiles. Each vehicle is comprised of 30 major sub-assemblies, over 400 unique parts and over 600 individual parts.- Conducted or assisted in the design, testing and development of nearly all major components of the Snow Hawk single ski vehicle – the only of its kind in the world.- These major vehicle parts include primary transmission (CVT-type), secondary transmission (dry cog belt type), engine layout and power package testing, exhaust system (two-stroke) routing, design andsupporting, carburetor configuration & calibration, intake design (Heimholtz resonator type), LDPE andsuperlinear plastic body panel design/production/control, chassis design (water-jet and laser cut).Extensive use of AutoCAD and Rhino3D modeling software.- Member of the SAE Standards Committee for snowmobiles, a position highly sought afterin the snowmobile industry and awarded only to those with a particular vision for the industry as a whole. I was the only manufacturer representative outside of the Big Four.- Extreme high-altitude and adverse environment vehicle testing in West Yellowstone, MT, Wyoming,Idaho, California, Quebec and Labrador.
