As Sales manager I was responsible for leading a team of 5 sales staff for one of the UK's largest timber importers. It was a role which utilised my skills as a leader but also in multitasking as I was a direct liaison between the sales staff and the directors. I would be looking at new prospects and increasing sales potential by analysing data and targeting customers. I would closely monitor customer targets and being proactive in sales opportunity maximisation. This was a fast paced role and encompassed many areas of the business from logistics, transportation, purchasing and pricing.

I would work with building contractors, suppliers, utilities and staff to ensure the smooth running and operation of our multi million sites.

During my time at Bowmans I had full operational control of an independent town centre bar. From its inception we undertook a full rebrand and refurbishment and turned this bar into an award winning premises. I was responsible on a day to day basis for a team of 20+ staff including a manager, supervisors, bar staff, kitchen staff and entertainment. The day to day management involved all elements of the business from recruiting staff, organising weekly staff rotas, conducting training, payroll, cash handing, risk assessments, internal and external policies and procedures, event organising, private venue hire and customer complaints. This very varied set of operational duties also was to include the negotiation of supplier contracts, all pricing and cost related setup, facilities management of the site to include planned maintenance works and emergency repairs. Excellent communication skills and an ability to be flexible in an ever changing workplace were essential. I developed my skills as a leader and I am naturally very well organised with the ability to delegate, motivate and direct the team whilst retaining professionalism at all times. Throughout my time at the bar I was able to work with local authorities to ensure we operated at the very best level. This was recognised through the best bar none scheme which saw us take many awards over my time. In an ever evolving and challenging market I was able to offer success through profitability and long term sustainable business.

Assistance with the locating and acquiring of sites across the southern part of the UK. I was responsible for project managing large teams of builders and contractors in the building or refurbishment of new properties.I was responsible for building and maintaining these relationships whilst keeping the project on target financially and within the time constraints we were faced.

I Started working in an admin support role for a very busy IFA. I then progressed to being a paraplanner whilst studying with the IFS. Our client base was high networth individuals in and around the London Area. I would assist with all back office support, diary organisng and general support to the IFA. I was building relationships with these clients and processing this business through industry leading software. Producing client letters, report writing and monitoring business flow to utilise my time and ensure smooth client processing from beginning to end.
