My 36-year working career has been spent in the oil and gas pipeline industry and has focused almost exclusively on regulatory matters. From 1982 to 1999, I was employed by the National Energy Board, which has jurisdiction over interprovincial and international oil and gas pipeline systems in Canada. My job function focused on construction and operations matters during the 1980s, and the emphasis switched in the 1990s to the project management of major facility applications. In early 2000, I moved over to Alliance Pipeline Ltd., where I continue to deal with the regulatory aspect from an industry vantage point.Over time, I have gained a diverse knowledge of the pipeline industry with niche specialization in technical and economic regulation. As to my personal traits, I consider myself to be a diligent worker who communicates well and produces results.
