Nurse practitioner Emergency Room- John Peter Smith Hospital

I was the night hospitalist. I would admit new patients from the emergency room and manage my groups inpatients as their needs arise. I functioned mostly autonomously, and managed everything from critical inpatient emergencies, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and acute inpatient stroke to less severe needs such as sleeping medicines, electrolyte replacement and constipation at 2 am.

Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department in multiple hospitals in the DFW metroplex. My skills include but are not limited to, critical care management of the adult, geriatric and pediatric population, intubation, central line placement, bedside US, both diagnostic and therapeutic lumbar puncture, x-ray and EKG interpretation simple and complex laceration repair.
