Rob’s wall street experience spans more than 20 years including investment consulting for some of the largest asset managers in North America, Europe and Asia. Early in his career Rob worked as a derivatives analyst for the futures and commodities division of A.G. Edwards under their chief market strategist, Samuel Hale, who was very influential in shaping his financial worldview of how to analyze markets and assess risk. Rob continued his career on wall street moving to NYC to work closely with portfolio managers of institutional funds. He became the senior vice president and chief analyst at Quantitative Analysis Service (QAS), a subsidiary of Stanley Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Capital Management, where he provided quantitative research and customized solutions for hedge funds, large banks and investment houses in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Rob later joined Third Coast Capital, a long/short U.S. equity hedge fund based in Austin Texas, where he was their investment strategist and tailored trading models around their particular investment style. It was also in NYC that Rob met his wife Spring, a native of Tallahassee Florida. In 2016, shortly after the birth of their third child, they decided to move from New York back to Rob’s hometown of Macon, Georgia. It’s here that he recently joined with Northwestern Mutual as an associate wealth management advisor working directly with clients on constructing model portfolios, selecting investment instruments, and performing ongoing due diligence of those investments. “I am very excited to transition from the institutional side of the business to the retail side in order to help individuals successfully meet their financial planning goals. He has levels 1 & 2 for the Chartered Market Technician designation as well as a certification in programming from Columbia University of New York.
