The department has been managed within budget every year.o Identify and procure specialized capital equipment capable of performing ANSI C12.1, ANSI C12.20, IEC 62052-11, IEC 62053-22, industry and customer required tests for new product design. Equipment purchases in the past 5 years exceed $500k.o Shortened new product validation test time through efficiencies gained by automation, scheduling, and equipment utilization resulting in 27 new products released in one year. o Assure the lab maintains ISO 9001:2008 quality compliance. This includes maintaining documents related to industry standards, customer standards, equipment manuals, lab procedures, parts inventory, training records, as well as participating in customer and internal audits.o Perform electronic debug analysis on customer product returns, test failures and new product breadboards down to the component level. o Build custom Functional test equipment to engineering specifications for use at our Contract Manufacturers.o Routinely provide engineering analysis on quality related issues to minimize the impact to high volume production or customer related product issues.o Provide performance related metrics and feedback to senior management on a regular basis.

o Identified and procured capital equipment to support new product design and manufacturing customer sample order testing.o Responsible for training technicians on all equipment including High Voltage Line Surge (HVLS) test equipment, gTEM RF immunity test chamber, WECO calibration test stations, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Surge Withstand Capability (SWC), RF Screen Room testing, high powered 3-D microscopes and temperature chambers.o Worked closely with the Validation Engineer and Engineering Product Engineers to develop test plans to eliminate redundancies between verification and validation testing which allowed for a complete product family to be released once testing was complete. o Perform electronic component level testing to support supply management dual sourcing and cost reduction initiatives resulting in a $1M annual savings.

LAB ENGINEER 1999 - 2001o Developed processes to assure test data were accurate and properly recorded by the Technicians to meet industry and company requirements.o Designed and implemented an Engineering Validation Test lab. This included specifying 120V - 480V electrical requirements and generating a facility layout that assured OSHA and company safety requirements were met.
