Oversee 160+ active Tier 1 parts for Series production requirements; Ensure parts availability at correct design/engineering level deliverables arrive on time to meet lineside delivery targets. Analysis and timely planning of demand changes to ensure updated EDI call offs to supplier network. Ensure departmental targets are met including Days of Supply, run-in/run-out of design changes, avoided aged stock & obsolescence, container detention and on time delivery of module reorders.Work with JIS supplier to ensure on-time deliveries with successful implementation of improved outbound logistics processes. Continuous analysis of under-utilized trailers from suppliers into consolidated milk runs to reduce transportation and cross docking costs, trailer detention and volume on daily trailer deliveries for Series production and Consolidated Services.Work closely with process partners in Engineering, Design, Purchasing, Transportation and supplier to achieve successful change management implementation of new design/engineering levels; ensuring parts availability, target run-in dates and preventing obsolescence of run-out material on hard changesProactive monitoring of SCM processes, EDI releases and demand requirements to ensure on-time delivery of materials. Root cause analysis and resolutions implemented for issues related to IT/system, supplier delays, logistics quality, weather, transportation, packaging, rack shortages or any event jeopardizing parts availability to BMW.
