As an educator for over 20 years, I have recently focused my attention on Instructional Design & Technology. Those who know me well are aware that I have a strong interest in technological advancements, and this is especially true when it comes to advancing musical instruction. In addition to instructing students in music, I am also an active member of a number of different performing ensembles. Although my summer performance schedule requires me to travel quite a bit, I find the whole experience to be quite satisfying. Instructional design has been a tremendous assistance in bridging the gap between music education and technology. It has also cast fresh light on the ideas that I have been creating to offer music education to my students in ways that were never before conceivable. When not in the classroom or on stage, you can find me spending time with my wife, 8-year-old daughter, and our miniature poodle.
