After 38.5 years of working with Openfield Agriculture & it’s predecessors the opportunity was presented to me to retire from the business at the end of 2018. Having had responsibility for leading in the development of cooperative grain storage & processing sites in the UK I established my own consultancy business, Prograin Ltd, to continue to provide assistance where needed. My experience and project management skills has been in building strong & trusting relationships not only with the farmer boards but all partners including local planning authorities, government agencies, grant authorities, financial partners, store design teams, building contractors & making change happen.Six years on Prograin Ltd has now served its purpose and it’s time to retire.I say “retire” but hopefully I can continue to utilise my skills with my other passions of raising awareness of Motor Neurone Disease through ever evolving charity cycling events and being President of Winchester RFC to develop this great community rugby club for future generations. Retirement? Not really!
