The Fabrication Value Stream Manager has broad responsibility and leadership for overall management of a Value Stream. I have 120 direct hourly reports and 4 salary. I lead the implementation and execution of lean work cells to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified work force, and reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations.

Direct the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance departments in the following functions: Safety, Quality, MVP, methods, tooling/jigs/fixtures, equipment, structures, product & tooling cost estimates, work simplification and methods improvements. Participates in long range expansion planning, building program, material flow and plant utilization activities. Managed Capital investments / planning for new product introduction and process improvements. Provide the leadership and supervision necessary to develop subordinates and improve the morale of the facility. Coach, counsel, discipline; quality and productivity recording; employee training and documentation; Safety incident investigataion, analysis and corrective action.

Responsible for the manufacturability of new skid steer products. Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning. Develop the process flow, work assignments, and tooling required to successfully launch the new product. Coordinate process reviews, process verifications and problem resolution reviews throughout the skid steer launch phases.

Engineer Operations Officer serving on the Combined/Joint Task Force-180 staff in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Supervises the operations, logistics, and mine action cell branch staff consisting of four officers and two non-commissioned officers. Maintains situational awareness of all coalition engineer operations throughout Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan. Monitors the execution and status of combat and civil engineer operations to include mobility, operations, and construction and maintenance of lines of communication.
