Experienced in the mechanical design, qualification, and maintenance of Airborne Electronic Systems. • Lead mechanical design engineer for multiple line replaceable electronic modules for use in traditional aircraft mounted systems, as well as small-form factor systems to be used on unmanned platforms. Work with a team of senior principal engineers and mechanical analysts to support design updates and investigate and rectify supplier and production tolerance outages on systems currently in production, as well as systems being qualified for production. Troubleshoot failures and provide design input to address mechanical issues that arise during systems verification, initial aircraft fit-checks, and qualification testing. • Maintain engineering Bills of Material for older legacy electronic systems that are still in production and support Depot repairs of systems that are out of production but still in service. Proficient in finding alternates for obsolete electrical or mechanical components when available; or form, fit & function replacements where alternates are not longer produced. • Use PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer) to create CAD models and engineering drawings for new designs and to incorporate engineering changes on current designs. • Experienced in MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing- Have taken multiple product lines through qualification testing, developed qualification specifications using both MIL-STD-810 and DO-160, and provided OCONUS testing support to subcontractors.

• Worked with a team of mechanical engineers to identify potential service issues on future vehicle programs in CAD data, prior to physical property construction, to reduce development costs and the costs of after-sale warranty repairs. • Used Unigraphics, Team Center, and Visual Mockup to update dealer service tool CAD data to conform to global standards, and then data-banked the files to the Warren Engineering Database, from which they were globally distributed.• Worked with senior engineers to identify and resolve discrepancies between Integration Vehicle Engineering Release (IVER) prototype vehicle builds and engineering documentation. • Developed solutions to potential serviceability issues, with respect to tool clearances, service positions, and component removal/ reinstallation, and presented suggested changes to the requisite engineering groups. • Verified serviceability requirements on pre-production prototype engineering development vehicles.
