This will include co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders (Resilience Direct, Local Resilience Forms), representing DCC at multi-agency events.• Managed the @DevonAlert social media accounts and engage with the media channels participating in television and radio appearances.• Managed the monitoring of organic on-site and off-site stakeholder alarm systems (Security, Fire and Personnel).

Hm Naval Base Devonport/Hms Drake

• Operational manager for the security and safety of over a thousand personnel across a ninety-acre multifaceted public facing nuclear site (24/7 access control). Managing the safe reception, custody and induction of all visitors; including the ceremonial aspects for VIP guests to the site, whilst leading and guiding the front of house teams. • Incident manager for all site emergencies, directing the initial response teams for the incident, co-ordinating and liaison with emergency services and direct reporting to the naval base CEO & site directors.• Welfare co-ordinator for South West UK, providing 24/7 casualty and compassionate support to naval staff and their families, prioritising and carrying out the appropriate course of action whilst providing full confidentiality and displaying discretion throughout. • Team manager and direct reporting officer for ten personnel and the custodian of all site weaponry, ammunition and accountable for the control of site sensitive buildings and their classified keys.• Initial management and co-ordination of nominated personnel in support of a national security incident, including the issuing of weapons, ammunitions and specialist PPE in response to the increase of national security levels.

Northwood Hq, London

• Managed the MOC Duty team, created and managed rosters for the 24/7 operations centre across a multi-national division (operational management of the in hours and OOHs team). • MOC Incident and Crisis manager in accordance with the Business Continuity Plan (BCP); successfully formulating and exercising emergency procedures and redundancy plans.• Co-ordinated global movements of NATO ships in areas of operations ensuring that standing battle rhythms are adhered too in support of the overall mission focus and component commanders’ duties.• Compiled and delivered verbal and written reports to senior officers and task force captains. • Managed and maintained the administration for the Health and Safety organisation (Risk Assessments, COSHH and incident logs) ensuring the compliance in Northwood’s health and safety policy is met.

Hms Somerset (Warship)

• Managed a fast paced, high pressured, multi-million pound operations centre and its people. Maintaining the ship’s strategic and operational output by the constant planning of future programmes, training and succession management of the Warfare department. Preparing a team of over 40, to conduct operational deployments to the Persian Gulf and Somali Basin during times of significant unrest.• CEO’s representative, for whom in their absence, I was entrusted with the overall health and safety, security, welfare and sustainability of the whole ship and its 185 personnel (including visiting VIPs and public guests). Managing a twenty strong team for all shipborne emergencies, by co-ordinating and prioritising the incidents that without would have a detrimental impact to life and the vessel. • Operationally managed the ships daily routine SHEF requirement; ensuring that correct working practices were adhered to and risk assessments were understood and followed. Providing risk assessment, permit to work oversight to all military and civilian contractors during their work process.• Line manager for over 40 personnel; managing, compiling and recording annual appraisals, mid-term assessments and assisted all Warfare staff with regards to Continual Professional Development (CPD). Provided HR representation in all aspects of discipline (Military/Civilian courts).Achievement: In recognition of the above success I was appointed to Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) as a Fleet and International Navies operational assessor and training instructor.
