I provided administration support to the Verification Unit. This involved logging initial applications for various products by both Personal and Commercial Advisers. Paperwork and database reviews were then undertaken with any issues being resolved by email or phone contact to allow investments to proceed. Extra duties included spreadsheet management, fee inputting, organizing daily secure post forwarding and colleague training / feedback.

Police Headquarters, Lewes, East Sussex

My role centred on co-ordinating a proportionate response by local police to incoming incidents, within a small office-based team. This primarily involved telephone contact with both the public and police resources / other agencies. Being appointment system driven, this included data entry and maintenance. A key element to our work was problem solving and strategy implementation whilst adhering to strict protocols. Later in the contract I was utilized more frequently in a systems test and colleague training facility.District variations had to be taken into account and relevant data collated and analysed to both retain our units'​ performance and drive the local policing plans forward.Both county and national guidelines demanded targets and strict deadlines – these were at the forefront of our working practice. I learnt valuable in-house computer systems skills as well as ongoing MS office usage. Communications techniques on all levels and accurate data entry became the core factors of my position. Our departments' output was championed as a breakthrough success for Sussex Police leading to other forces adopting our business model.
