With almost a decade of dedicated work in the non-profit sector, my career journey has been centred around my passion for conservation sustainability and organisational leadership, driving meaningful change. Starting in natural resource management, I had the privilege of leading an amazing team and managing a critically endangered conservation area within Cape Town, South Africa. This experience not only honed my skills in natural resource management but also solidified my resolve to protect our planet.Transitioning to the role of National Coastal Coordinator with the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), I coordinated national conservation programs, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to promote environmental stewardship along the South African coastline. Throughout my tenure, I coordinated the National Blue Flag Programme and played a pivotal role in developing and launching the WESSA Green Coast Programmes, collaborating with the private sector, as well as local and national government agencies along the South African coastline.In my pursuit of promoting a greener future, I joined AltGen, where I was instrumental in recruiting talent for the renewable energy and heading up the sustainability unit. This role allowed me to contribute directly to the development of sustainable industries, a mission that remains close to my heart.Currently, I am proud to be an essential member of the incredible team at ON A MISSION (Swiss based NPO), where I serve as Head of Operations. Here, I am privileged to lead initiatives as we restore forests and empower local communities across the globe. My role involves strategic planning, Grant and Contract Management, Account and Stakeholder management, operational management, and fostering partnerships that amplify our impact.
