Director of cemetery operations, Burials, maintenance, Projects, Facilities, fleet and plant and machinery

Oversee operations within Rookwood Cemetery.

Manage teams of 15 to 25 year olds that we employ to undertake trade services including, building, landscaping, garden maintenance, garffiti removal, handyman services and assett maintenance. We employ disadvantaged youth and equip them with the personal and technical skills to allow them to gain and mantane employment in the open market. We work closely with them to help them to be job ready addressing personal barriers to employment

Oversee and coordinate Landscape projects in the commercial sector largely new developments and open space valued from $10K to $2 mil Managed stakeholder relationships with Councils, architects, Developers and building companies along with suppliers and subcontractors.Tendering, budgets and project planning along with site staff management and coordinating.

Board member of the association for almost 7 years being an industry association working for it's members to promote the landscape industry and the professional contractors within. Acted as Vice President for 3 years and President for 2 years. Working alongside fellow professional Landscape Contractors to improve the industry within which we worked. Roles included public speaking, running monthly member meetings, coordinating displays at public shows, judging of projects nominated for awards, inspecting projects by members and arbitrating disputes. Setting direction and policies for the organisation with fellow board members. Acquering sponsorships and managing relationships in the broader landscape industry.
