Founded KIDS IN COMMUNICATION ( KICFM) in 1996, to give young people a youth voice on radio and to develop their soft and technical skills so that they may play a greater role in the community. Over 25,0000 young people over 25years have been on their journey with us with many having success in the media industry inc BBC R2, commercial radio (Greatest hits, Heart BBC WM Capitol etc),We created the first mobile youth radio station which toured the West Midlands and broadcast to thousands of young people. We’ve tackled the whole range of youth issues and continue today with a focus on knife crime, poverty and lack of opportunity to develop skills.
