I have both breadth in many fields such as offshore, bridges, buildings, forensics and wind energy, as well as depth / subject matter expert in seismic analysis, earthquake risk assessment (to ASCE 41), blast and non-linear analysis and can pull this together to offer strategic advice on how to solve problems, make capital investments and understand technical risk . I have worked on projects as diverse as small office alterations, Olympic stadia, long span bridges, and the largest observation wheel in the world. An analytical, critical thinker, as well as a team leader. I worked for Arup for 25 years and 5 for years led the Advanced Technology and Research team in San Francisco, building the team from 18 to 30 during that time.
