Rob is an aquatic biologist specializing in stream and river ecology and the characterization and management of fish habitat. With twenty-seven years of experience, he has managed hundreds of projects involving fish habitat surveys and mapping, aquatic habitat rehabilitation and impact assessment for developments affecting aquatic ecosystems. This includes project management for the natural environment component of dozens of provincial and federal environmental assessments. He has an excellent reputation within the hydroelectric industry in Ontario where he is involved in Class EA, permitting, baseline inventory and risk assessment. He has also managed the aquatic component of several natural heritage planning studies included as part of subwatershed studies and secondary plans.

As a founder and Senior Aquatic Biologist at NRSI Rob managed the day to day operations of the aquatic ecology team. This included a team of ten biologists with specialities in aquatic habitat assessment and management, fish sampling and identification, benthic invertebrate ecology and freshwater mussel science.

As a biologist at Acres Rob worked exclusively on the assessment of impacts and development of mitigaiton for hydroelectric development.
