My primary focus at DISH was on leveraging DLT to scale and secure our NB-IoT and 5G networks. I developed technologies and strategies for densifying the world's largest greenfield 5G open RAN. These efforts have now been externalized as XG Edge.I created external innovation pipelines for DISH and their 5G network ecosystem partners. This was done by providing early-stage innovators with a milestone based funding delivery schedule, scalable testbed access, and strategic enterprise partnerships. This program has now been externalized as XG Innovation.I was also responsible for auditing all aspects of the core business in an effort to identify opportunities for cost or efficiency savings through the implementation of DLT/blockchain. This includes guiding blockchain training curriculum development and implementation for our teams of software and systems engineers. Additionally, I helped DISH navigate regulatory matters regarding cryptocurrency and digital securities.

(I really enjoyed this aspect of the role.)Building on the personality matching practices developed in my previous engagement, I worked towards developing code productivity measurement utilities to build optimized agile teams of developers and project managers based on personality and functional expertise.I also directly managed special projects that do not fit within the traditional scope of Enterprise Services, serving as the project manager and product owner while the projects were in development. One such project included migrating an expensive IBM enterprise file storage and retrieval application to a Serverless Application using AWS's API Gateway, Lambda, and S3 services.

I was responsible for all technical aspects of [redacted]’s business. I supervised both product and project while making all final hiring decisions. I developed a long term strategy that allowed [redacted] to scale their technologies as the business demanded.By implementing my existing nonprofit platform (see Project Ana), I was able to launch a robust, scalable platform within 2 months of joining [redacted]. Over the following year, the platform was able to scale and adapt to their ever changing business needs. The platform was a social networking platform that matched young professionals at Wall St. banks and law firms with nonprofit associate board and volunteer opportunities. The platform used ElasticSearch to provide algorithmic search results. Search feature weights were derived from an Apache Spark based machine learning matching algorithm. IBM Watson’s Personality Insights API was also used feed the matching algorithm.Once [redacted] reached their next round of funding, I entered into a long term licensing agreement and stepped away from day to day operations.

My day to day responsibilities at Vimeo included consulting with engineers and project managers on all things payment gateway related, managing tax and VAT features, fraud prevention, and refining the checkout flow user experience.I rebuilt the payment infrastructure by creating a gateway facade. New gateways can now be easily installed without altering the core objects. New gateway installation time was reduced from 2 months to 2 weeks while increasing transaction integrity. I built the tax form collection portal required to pay out our OnDemand content creators. This required an API integration with a service provider who validates tax form data. I developed a customer communication workflow based on the numerous validation status responses from the vendor. I built a fraud prevention suite that allows our Trust and Safety team to easily monitor suspected fraudulent users. We've significantly reduced the number of chargebacks incurred by stopping them before they happen. Based on the months of data we've now collected, we're now leveraging machine learning to gradually begin to automatically ban fraudulent users with no human review.

The platform leverages several APIs for order fulfillment, payment processing, and user authentication.The hMVC platform is built on a scalable EC2 LAMP server and continuously deployed and versioned via Git/Github. All static resources are automatically compressed and synced with AWS S3 and distributed to the Cloudfront CDN. Payments, both transactional and subscription, are processed through Braintree’s transparent redirect API. Orders are fulfilled via an API call to a proprietary order fulfillment facade, which is currently connected to 13 pick and pack warehouses as well as the site merchants' own custom warehouses. Authentication is handled by various oAuth service or local authentication.API integrations include Square, AWS SES, AWS S3, AWS SNS, AWS Route53, Facebook, PayPal, Etsy, Venmo, Github, Google Merchants, Google Plus, Google Drive, and more.The platform is built for multiple site management. Sites can possess model, view, controller and resource overrides, allowing for complete customization on a per site basis, allowing for white label implementation.The application features robust order fulfillment, invoicing, inventory management, supply chain management, enterprise email marketing and event management utilities.By giving non-profit organizations and individuals the power to establish direct sales channels to more prosperous countries, we can make drastic improvements to the quality of life for the families and communities that we serve.

I wrote back end software for processing insurance applications, rating risks, and issuing policies. The software is built on the Kohana MVC Framework in an agile scrum management environment. I led development on document management, application form building, and policy binding projects.The document management tools decreased human workload significantly, allowing the company to focus on developing new products. The application form development tools allow developers and project managers to focus on new features instead of replicating code for new products.When I started at NAS, it took 1-2 months to develop the code and prepare the documents for new products. It now takes 2-3 days.

NewMedia provides both marketing services (SEO, PPC, SMO) and web development services to small to medium size businesses. We saved our clients money on their monthly ad spend by ensuring that their lead generation flow is optimal for conversion. Development projects have included an insurance quote/payment app, a real estate listing engine, a job posting engine, a kickstarter incentive fulfillment app, and many wordpress blog sites, to name a few. All of these projects have been deployed on Rackspace Cloud instance of Linux CentOS 6 with apache, mysql, and php. For high traffic apps and sites, a dedicated mysql instance is called via a private IP and load balancers are deployed. Most of the front ends are responsive CSS3/HTML5 DOMs with a lot of AJAX functionality via jQuery.

I built the 2.0 release of musicolio.com. I wrote much of the code myself, but also managed a team of offshore developers. My code contributions included the front end UI, the REST API, and the DB architecture. The platform contains over a dozen third party API integrations, including Facebook, Twitter, Google, Soundcloud, iTunes, and Spotify.In my first month with Musicolio, I increased their user base from 1,500 to 3,500 qualified users by leveraging social PPC and Facebook authentication. The Musicolio 2.0 platform is built on a scalable Rackspace Cloud LAMP server. All static resources are automatically compressed and synced with AWS S3 and distributed to the Cloudfront CDN. Authentication is handled by either Facebook oAuth, Twitter oAuth, Soundcloud oAuth, or local authentication. Every object (user, project, stream item, credit, track, video) can be queried via a simple API call to api.musicolio.com (http://api.musicolio.com/53212) with a JSON response. Authentication was in the roadmap.

This includes the development of social data aggregation methods via API implementation for the purpose of binding data sets into complete lead profiles.I also designed, developed and implemented PHP content management networks and dynamic multi-variant testing platforms while maintaining and further refining SEO practices. LISTFREE was an internet startup that used technology to consolidate real estate closing service costs to provide free listing services for sellers.In 2002, after establishing a 33% market share (100-120 listings) in a small metro area, I took on a partner and received angel funding. We then established a brand identity, invested in technology, and moved to a larger metro area where we maintained a 2-3% market share (200-300 listings).One of my responsibilities at LISTFREE was management of the development of our PHP real estate listing platform and custom CRM.

I originated loans and prepared loan documentation. Here I learned to use technology to mine data for qualified leads.I was successful as a loan officer because I was able to explain complex loan options to my clients in terms to which they could relate.

I was responsible for managing a multi-million dollar inventory, sales, merchandising, and 6 employees.I was promoted quickly to management after performing in the top one percentile nationwide in various sales metrics.
