Rob is an experienced, driven and results oriented technical programs principal with a background in engineering and an interest in technology strategy. Rob has a passion for driving strategic success for Telstra by combining engineering, technical, commercial and strategic thinking with a driven program delivery mindset.Rob joined Telstra in 2004 after completing a B.Eng (Telecommunications Hons Class I) + B.Sc (Physics with Distinction) at the University of Wollongong including interning at Nortel Networks R&D Lab. Over 17 years in Telstra, Rob has delivered improvements to mobile device requirements and testing, significant architectural, expansion and migration works in engineering technology management of Messaging (SMS/MMS/Email) platforms. For 18 months Rob had the privilege of being Chief of Staff to the Chief Operations Officer, Robyn Denholm during the establishment and initial delivery of Telstra’s T22 strategy. Rob has program managed strategic network development programs of over $500m p.a. and the Networks and IT resilience mission to eliminate preventable outages. Rob’s current role encompasses co-leading/program managing Telstra’s cross-company work on upcoming strategic technology capabilities and program managing in year work to deliver on Telstra's Organisational Key Results.
