Objective was to design and construct a fully autonomous robot capable of self navigating the Lunar surface while collecting regolith (moon dust). I contributed by designing the navigation system which used a LiDAR scanner to identify known fiducials and determine the robot’s position and heading. Our entry won second place in the 2009 competition.
