I worked for 36 years with the same specialty services construction company (scaffolding, insulation, coatings and surface prep, fireproofing, refractory, rope access), with 31 of those years in Senior Management. In that time I've served as Branch Manager, Division Manager, Region Manager, General Manager, President (of Canadian Operations), National Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and Director of Commercial Operations. Thankfully, my skills and intellect have served me well in the Canadian INdustrial Market, where I've always been able to contribute at the highest levels of management. While continually striving to do the absolute best I could to drive maximum results, I also ensured that my personal contributions added incrementally to the company's growth and success. At the same time, I remained committed to assisting and supporting anybody else in the organization that could use my assistance, regardless of their role, to help them grow and advance, knowing this would also make the company more successful. Then, when those contributions were fully-realized in a given role, my capacity, capabilities, and success have always shone through, seemingly pointing to the next urgent need, or I'd literally work tirelessly to determine what else the business needed most, and pivot there, sometimes even creating the role to fit the need. For example, the latest Commercial Operations functional role was developed from scratch by me (along with a former BU President) in Canada, then copied and rolled out to our American and other International operations, establishing a department that is now considered essential to the success of the entire ~$5B organization.This mindset has allowed me to create a career of successful Senior Management Leadership with a foundation of support and growth of others and caring for people at its core. As a highly intelligent, empathetic professional, I'm usually able to easily deconstruct and understand problems as people describe them and develop solutions that will work for all, or (where everyone cannot be satisfied) at optimum levels, by any standard method of measure.
