Associate Consultant
Senior Market Access Analyst
Senior Value Analyst
I previously worked within the Value, Insight and Communication department of Adelphi Values, based in Manchester. Here, I provided research and analysis at all levels of project delivery, and informed the development of value propositions to optimise pricing, reimbursement and market access.I was involved in all levels of project delivery, from proposal to completion. As a part of this, I worked across a variety of projects, including payer value decks, global value dossiers (GVDs), and objection handlers. I was also involved in the publishing of multiple manuscripts across a number of journals. I was the lead contact across a number of projects, having dealt with a range of clients and expectations, delivering projects on time and to budget. As a part of my role, I managed various members of staff, both in a mentor role, and by providing guidance on projects. In October 2016, I enrolled on the European Market Access University Diploma (EMAUD course), run by the Academic Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences, the educational arm of the Market Access Society. This one year course, based in Paris, provided insight into areas such as market access policies, pricing inside and outside of Europe, health economics, health technology assessment, risk management, and decision sciences. As a part of this course, I completed a thesis within my personal time whilst working full time.
Market Access And Outcome Strategy Intern
One year graduate internship (extended by four months) within the Market Access and Outcome Strategy team, at the Manchester branch of RTI-Health Solutions. Here I have worked in a wide-variety of disease areas, and undertaken various responsibilities. Some of these include: • Provide support on a wide variety of projects, including systematic and strategic literature reviews, global value dossiers and AMCP dossiers.• Assist in the development of protocols, reports, slide sets, posters, and provide quality control work. • Extensively trained in the use of EndNote, ZincMaps and Vision.
Nihr Research Methods Internship In Healthcare Economics
Gained research experience and specific knowledge of the application of methods of economic evaluation within a healthcare setting in a leading research environment. During this three month internship I summarised Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) - related assumptions made in model-based economic evaluations of anti-TNFs used for the treatment of adult rheumatoid arthritis (RA). I produced a report summarising my findings, giving a presentation on them in front of the department of Health Economics. I also produced a report for the NIHR summarising my experiences in this position. Whilst in this position I attended weekly seminars on various aspects of health economics, and voluntarily undertook extra training in the form of a six week course in STATA, conducted alongside my research. I also travelled to York and Sheffield in order to meet with various professors, discuss their work and attend seminars. I also seized the opportunity to observe NICE assessing a technology appraisal (TA), giving valuable insights into the NICE TA decision making process.
Global Graduates Scheme Intern
Selected by the University of Manchester's Careers Service for the Global Graduate Scheme, which involved travelling to Singapore. Whilst there I interviewed various businesspeople and alumni of the University about the economy of Singapore, the impacts that has had on their jobs, and how employment differs between England and Singapore. Whilst there I was also entrusted with £350 from the university as expenses for food and transport, the remainder of which I returned to the University upon my return, with receipts for my spending. After returning, I wrote up a business report of my findings and gave a presentation to members of the Careers Service and the Manchester Business School.
