Rob Taboada is a California land use and environmental attorney who counsels public and private clients on all aspects of land use development. Rob regularly advises investors, developers, and government entities on land use restrictions and agreements, as well as the entitlement process, project review under the California Environmental Quality Act. Rob has experience negotiating and drafting development agreements, affordable housing agreements, easement agreements, and regulatory and maintenance agreements, as well as interpreting existing documents burdening and benefiting his clients' properties. Rob is also experienced defending project entitlement and CEQA review before local boards and at the judicial level. In addition to his professional practice, Rob has served as an editor for the California Land Use Law & Policy Reporter and is currently an adjunct professor at U.C. Hastings College of the Law where he teaches Land Use Regulation. He serves on the advisory council for the Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary, and spent 12 years as a general contractor and cabinetmaker before coming to the law.
