Responsible for scope, schedule and budget associated with 3 major capital projects invested by Bruce Power. Responsible for ensuring all project activities are progressing on schedule and within budget. Responsible for the oversight of all Field Execution Supervisory personnel in a multi-discipline setting, including planning, organizing, scheduling, estimating, coordinating, costs, assigning and checking work. Ensure all work in the field is completed to the highest level of safety standards.

Responsible for the on-time delivery of all material required to meet the projects fast pace environment. Worked closely with procurement, engineering, scheduling and warehouse departments eliminating obstacles to ensure material is available when required. Managed custom reports for management to achieve milestone targets. I participated in regularly scheduled meetings with other departments and construction managers to review any issues relating to work weeks. Responsible for 3 Material Expediters and 12 Unionized Teamsters.

The Director of Operations was accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the company’s van, flatbed, rail, heavy haul and brokerage division, in compliance with the Strategic goals of the organization. This role was accountable for Financial Management budget of $40 million, Operational Effectiveness, Health and Safety of all operational staff, company drivers and contractors (20 office staff & 180 drivers), as well as for fostering a culture of cooperation and professionalism. This role required coaching and mentoring of staff on an ongoing basis. This position within the organization is the most senior role present on a daily basis and was considered a key individual when setting strategic goals and targets. Cost Control and Revenue Generation are two responsibilities from a financial perspective and KPI’s were weighted heavily round these specific objectives.
