Responsible for Peel NRE and Peel Cubico Renewables onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage activities in the UK and Isle of Man. Led the sale of Peel NRE's Shetland Islands wind portfolio (120MW) as well as overseeing the successful award of CfD's in AR4. Established Peel Cubico Renewables JV in partnership with Cubico Sustainable InvestmentsCreated a new dedicated in-house renewables development team to identify, secure and permit a pipeline of wind, solar and BESS projects in the UK

Responsible for identifying, permitting and developing a portfolio of grid-scale and decentralised renewables and battery storage projects for the UK and Ireland energy markets. Business development activities included ground-mounted solar PV, onshore and offshore wind farms, energy parks, rooftop and private wire solar PV, battery storage, corporate PPA’s, green gas (hydrogen & biomethane) as well as developing other low carbon solutions for public and private sector customers across the energy vectors of power, heat and transport. Oversaw and managed a multi-disciplinary team of 'in-house' professionals specialising in the identification, design, planning and development of onshore wind energy and solar projects in the UK from land assembly through to construction and operation. During my time as MD, the business established an enviable track record of development success through its strategy of securing a pipeline of greenfield projects and forming joint ventures with key partners and investors to facilitate a 'develop and sell' business model which culminated in the WCE business being sold to GDF Suez/ENGIE in 2014.
