Rob Taylor is a Director of Fire Engineering Professionals. Rob has over 20 years experience in building regulations and performance based fire safety design. His role is to help manage the overall direction of the company and provide fire-safety engineering and project management services. Rob has a comprehensive background in building services, and fire safety engineering. During his career he has specialized in the delivery of performance-based fire-safety design (Alternative Solutions) for major building and infrastructure projects. Rob has extensive experience in the undertaken of critical risk assessments for mines, power stations,etc.As an Accredited Certifier in building services and fire safety, he brings to each new project a sound understanding of building regulations.Rob’s participation in performance-based fire engineering design has been at the cutting edge of the discipline, and includes contributions to some of Australia’s most innovative and significant projects. Rob strongly advocates an engineering approach to fire safety, maximizing design flexibility and performance efficiency and eliminating redundant safety features while helping ensure the necessary safety standards are maintained.
