I worked for 36 years in police communications, answering and dispatching 9-1-1 calls and non-emergency calls for service. During my career, I facilitated the Communications Techniques course at the Ontario Police College. I assisted in implementing the accreditation process for all police services in the Province of Ontario. I retired in June, 2021.Today, I am proud to work for the Diocese of Hamilton as the Associate Director of Permanent Diaconate Formation. I manage the intake of new applicants and coordinate interviews, home visits, and psychological backgrounds; after the intake phase, I schedule professors and manage practicums for the candidates. This is an administrative position that utilizes many communication and organization skills.
