My career in the building industry started over 18yrs ago as a 16yr old, after leaving school I was set on perusing something that had interested me since I’d been a small boy watching the local builder extend our house - bricklaying.That interest soon turned into the passion I have today, in my eyes there’s not much that can beat laying bricks on a warm summers morning and the sense of achievement after completing a project.My early years bricklaying were served through an apprenticeship with Prestige Brickwork Ltd where I learnt my craft under the tutorage of some of the best bricklayers I’ve come across, teaching me the highest of standards and work ethic. Fast forward a number of years I’d gained the experience and confidence to work my way up from bricklayer to ganger, foreman and most recently Contracts manager for Saints brickwork Ltd.I’m lucky enough to have worked on some amazing projects over the years across the commercial and private sector and to by part of teams behind multiple Pride in the Job awards.The next part of my career I am especially excited about as I move into Quality control and customer care management. I feel as though these roles will utilise my best assets with my attention and eye for detail as well as my passion for producing the best possible product we can.
