The value I provide to clients is a broad view of an IT environment, an understanding of the underlying business goals and the ability to zoom in on opportunity- or risk- areas quickly. Formulating these opportunities or risks and risk containment provides a means to aim for achievable results early in the life cycle of projects. This is a powerful governance mechanism for investments in complex environments.My career in IBM includes six years of experience as first line manager in marketing, four of these years I was responsible for international support of a major electronics equipment manufacturer.I teach IT architecture within IBM Europe.I am a guest lecturer at the post graduate course 'Master of Business Telecommunications' and 'System Engineering' of the Technical University of Delft. For the IT Architect profession in the Netherlands I initiated the creation of the 'Nederlands Architectuur Forum' (NAF) a society of organisations involved in the application, use and education of IT Architecture. The NAF organises a yearly congress on IT Architecture. IBM participates in both.Specialties: Executive IT Architect at IBM Netherlands and Information Technology and Services Consultant. I have helped major accounts to -define and implement enterprise wide IT Architectures aligned to the business needs,-implement Governance of IT environments based on the definition of enterprise wide IT architectures, -implement the required processes to align projects to the intended architecture and -select and educate personnel to fulfil roles in these processes.
