My responsibilities were the overall workforce development strategy for the local government sector in South Australia including the implementation and management of ‘shape your world’ employer brand. Provide industrial relations support for Councils by drafting and negotiating enterprise agreements, appear in Commissions and tribunals, develop workforce plans, recruit personnel, draft employment contracts, manage poor performance, enhance and improve work health and safety policies and procedures, develop policy for women in local government and liaise with the education and training unit.I currently still provide industrial relations support under a consultancy agreement.

Located at Gepps Cross where 180 employees were manufacturing sheet metal and plastic products, I implemented a set of HR and OHS policies and procedures, developed a workforce plan, undertook responsibility for recruitment and managed the payroll department. I provided extensive coaching and mentoring for our executive staff and developed training programs for other staff members.
