After finishing my Degree in the UK I started working in France developing my skills as a ski instructor in the winters and raft and mountain guiding in summers. This continued in Austria where I completed my level 2 ski instructor certification. I worked through the summers at one of the largest outdoor complexes in Europe, Area 47 where I honed my skills as a raft guide and canyoning guide. I continued this lifestyle chasing more countries moving to Canada then to New Zealand. Finally I came back to Canada and settled in Nelson. This is when I started a new journey going back to school to study Environmental studies. After graduating I started working at the Ministry of Forests within a small Aquatics team. Throughout my years of guiding I developed a high level of safety awareness, group management skills along with a strong passion for the environment that I worked so much in which is what ultimately lead me to going back to school. I still spend lots of time outside mountain biking, skiing, fishing hunting and being in nature.
