I am an experienced agribusiness professional with a career spent in the horticultural sector across Australia and New Zealand.Throughout my career, I have worked for the full range of business structures, from a self-managed family businesses to global food production giants – Auston, Olam and Costa Group among them –with a keen eye for the bigger picture, a natural affinity for people management and a drive to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability wherever possible.Over the years I have held roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, General Manager, Operations Manager and National Orchard Manager, gaining invaluable first-hand experience in a multitude of horticulture crops, including almonds, avocados, blueberries, citrus, table grapes, apples, stonefruit, cherries, kiwifruit, melons and cotton.More recently, I have been employed by investment companies including Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (AustOn) and ROC Investments to optimise assets in the agriculture category.I have a deep understanding of fresh fruit management and have successfully managed relationships across the supply chain, with third-party growers, marketers and supermarkets to ensure optimal product procurement.Beyond the organisations I have worked with, I have a strong passion for the improvement of the broader horticulture sector and have actively contributed to organisational and industry advancement through numerous director and committee member roles on industry boards.
