As the leader of the Estimating Dept. I manage the other Estimators; supervise the tendering of all scopes required to build our condominiums; personally build the budgets for all projects; work closely with the Project Managers to negotiate and award the sub-contracts; research new projects; find and pre-qualify new vendors and trade partners; price all upgrade requests and changes to suites; coordinate with our internal Design Dept. and external consultants for value engineering and cost savings measures on each project; and work closely with our VP of Finance and our Controller on cost allocations and special projects reporting.

Designed, priced, and serviced residential and small commercial wood roof and floor trusses, as well as Weyerhauser I-Joist and OJ2000 floor joists. Truss design used Alpine software.Was primary contact and coordinator for apartment style multi-family and hotel customers from 2005-2006.Was a member of the company's safety committee in 2005 to develop the company's C.O,R. certification.

Designed, priced, and serviced residential wood roof trusses. Truss design used MiTek software.

Drafting of shop drawings for a pre-cast concrete manufacturing plant. Worked closely with the in-house structural/civil engineer. Company mostly focused on Civil projects, with logging road bridges being the core of the business. Also participated in a rail overpass, snow avalanche protection wall for the Coquihalla Connector highway in B.C., and the Vernon arena new construction in 2001.Company closed due to yard staff labour dispute. Assisted with the production of pre-cast concrete beams, columns, floor panels, bridge girders, abutments, I-beams, and box beams. Cut and bent rebar, tied rebar, placed and finished concrete.
