• Responsible for the Sourcing and Trading strategy of cacao beans (South-America and Africa) for the LATAM region in alignment with Global Business efforts, Forecast of local crop development and implementation of Sustainability projects and programs in cooperation with global customers like Nestlé and Mondelēz International and third party stakeholders.• Responsible for the Procurement and Risk Management of all Raw Materials (Cacao Liquor, Butter & Powder, Fats & Oils, Sugar) as well as Indirect Raw Materials (Packaging) for the chocolate product line.• Managing the overall Physical and Trading position (futures / arbitrage) in line with company Risk Management standards, by building global and regional Supply & Demand models (Excel) supported by Market Intelligence analyses; Production (Crop/Stocks) / Grind and Milling (Products/SKU’s) / Economic Data (Competition). • Designed, developed, and led a high-performing and multidisciplinary team for four areas; Sourcing, Sustainability, Data & Analytics and Risk Management including 5 direct employees.Achievements:• Implemented a ‘direct-sourcing’ model (cacao and ingredients direct sourced from main and strategic suppliers with a yearly cost saving of more than 1 MM USD).• Designed and implemented a Sourcing & Risk Management Policy based the 7 steps Strategic Procurement Process in alignment with the company’s Global Risk and source-to-pay policies.

• Responsible for the commercial (KPI’s) and trading activities (P&L) of the NON-GMO soya product line including sourcing, logistics and sales. • Leading a commercial team, serving a broad product portfolio of soja proteins & fats to the food and feed industry across Europe.• Established and integrated new suppliers and sourcing areas from Brazil (Pro-Terra) and Europe (Donau Soja)Achievements:• Development and increase of the NON-GMO product line with a total valuation of more than 3,5 MM USD.• Being part of Cargill’s Global Sustainability team to implement its Sustainable Soya Sourcing Program (3S).

• Managing the physical & financial portfolio and short-term trading book for the European Market through hedging strategies, including swaps (oil/gas), Day-Ahead optimizations, future contracts and spreads. • Origination and execution of structured transactions including a portfolio of storage, transport capacities and structured supply deals for Cargill’s internal gas consumption for its plants across Europe as well as external large gas consuming companies. Achievements:• Support for Cargill’s energy procurement process optimization strategy – dedicated standardization to manage daily the internal demand and minimization of the related costs. • Unwinding Cargill's energy portfolio after decision was taken to close its global energy business (2014).
