Work on non-tariff barriers (NTB) related to the trade in red meat, primarily to China and Middle East.Accountabilities: established multiple NTB projects, predominantly to China & Middle East; with minimal resources leveraged the support of key stakeholders including the Australian Government & Meat & Livestock Australia; secretariat to & directed by a committee of eight processors (IMAAC).Achievements: set up from scratch major projects to tackle NTBs including chilled meat standard for China, shelf life extension for the Middle East, & manufacturing beef to Egypt.
