As of June 2014, I am engaged as the Database and Application Administrator at Capricorn Cooperative. Based in West Perth, my role encompasses project support for a new ERP solution and BAU duties iro legacy systems at Capricorn. At the Department of Culture and the Arts I provided Database Administration support for their Finance systems and other departmental databases.My previous role at the Department of Fisheries involved work associated with the Fish Eye project, a new licencing application. I was tasked with bulding reports to audit the data migration, perform data migration loads, upgrade the SQL Server cluster to Enterprise edition and assist with new Patch release implementations.At VDM Group I successfully installed and configured Primavera P6 R8 using Oracle Weblogic and Oracle JRockit, connecting to a SQL Server database on the backend. I assisted VDM Group with performance improvements in some of their poorly performing SQL based processes, utilising SQL Server Profiler to extrapolate SQL code and then analysing the query with the Database Tuning advisor. This yielded some significant gains.I have created build documents for all SQL Server installations at server and workstation levels, and build / configuration documents for the Primavera installation and upgrade. My personal aim is to provide a broad range of SQL Server specialities as a Database Administrator and to assist my employer with getting the most from their database application.VDM has allowed me to become involved with technologies that take me beyond my DBA scope and this has improved my overall performance and capabilities.I am modest, charming and affable. I like to engage with others and enjoy humour in the workplace.
