Rob was born in 1958 in Cape Town, South Africa. He has more than 40 years experience collectively in residential and commercial property, hospitality industry, private equity and corporate finance. Strategic investments during this period include invested in Build O Rama - building material and supplies, Exper Voice and Data Solutions. Rob has invested in the tourism and hospitality industry since 1992. He is the sole owner of the Savoy Hotel since 2006 in Beaufort West and Kimberley. In March 2015 Rob through his investment trust acquired the entire share equity of Joe’s Easy Diner Pty Ltd. The business is a UK franchise chain that will grow exponentially in years to come.Rob has been is a director and shareholder of PSG Holdings (Investment Bank), Protea Hotels , Johnnic, Fedics, and various unlisted companies. In 1994 together with others established Akani Egoli (Gold Reef Casino Resorts) and remained a shareholder.Rob spent four years as a senior lecturer in Management and Marketing at The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (1985 – 1989) where he excelled as an academic and received various scholarships to study in the UK and US. Rob became a director of Tourism Marketing South Africa (TOMSA) in 2003 and was appointed for one term as Chairperson in 2006. He developed close ties with all stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry. Rob enjoys high level interaction with the South African tourism industry. He has been appointed as a board member of the Northern Cape Tourism Authority in 2010 - 2020 and Chairman of the Risk and Audit Committee. Currently he is Chairman of Cape Equity Investment and the Amy Foundation.
