Joined the FFL Partners Private Equity Ovarro Board of Directors and Ovarro Leadership Team during a period of rapid transformation, growth and company sale. Direct responsibility for all areas of Finance, Legal and IT, totalling 30 FTEs. Notable accomplishments include:• Researched the market and developed a strategic vision and multi-generational strategic plan, significantly improving employee alignment with the objectives of the company and resource allocation.• Developed a Long-Range Financial Plan, setting the course for double-digit turnover, profit and cash flow, like-for-like, recurring and adjusted growth for the next 5 years.• Created multi-generational transformation plans for Finance, Legal and IT, including robust business partnering and global centres of excellence, resulting in best-in-class performing global teams.• Helped stabilise customers and the financial performance of two large-scale encumbered Ovarro SCADA implementation projects which included an accounting treatment solution that avoided a significant reverse EBITDA trend and the resulting damage to Group valuation.• Refinanced a US$60m Ovarro parental loan note via a third-party bank revolving credit facility and invoice financing.• Found and led the US$10m Controlpoint and US$8m Datawatt acquisitions, adding US$60m to Group valuation.• Drove the wider business transformation and through robust appraisals of business development opportunities and a laser focus on sensible cost containment, achieved double-digit like-for-like growth in the business, from US$47m to US$53m turnover and 20% to 23% EBITDA, while keeping the strategic priorities in place.• Led the Ovarro company sale process including the establishment of work stream leads, management presentation and a high-quality virtual data room that received significant praise from professional advisers including EY, JP Morgan and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Multiple high value offers received from trade and PE investors.

As a key member of the Leadership Team, drove business turnaround and transformation following the consolidation of several roofing materials companies, including Redland and Icopal, into one. Direct responsibility for all areas of Finance totalling 18 FTEs. Notable accomplishments include:• Instrumental in delivery of transformational legal entity simplification and financial system implementations including SAP S4/HANA, Anaplan and Cognos to help meet business objectives and improve financial performance.• Contract extended and permanent UK & Ireland and Group roles offered.

As a key member of the Leadership Teams, consistently delivered double-digit turnover and profit growth while CFO for the US$500m turnover UK, US$1bn turnover Western Europe, US$2bn turnover Specialty Medicines Europe and US$5bn turnover European businesses.• Pending completion of the Actavis acquisition, joined the European Leadership Team with direct responsibility for all areas of Finance within the US$5bn turnover business, covering 31 countries, the European HQ and 250 Finance FTEs.• Led the European acquisition and integration of Actavis, ensuring all EU Commission data requirements were met, achieving a 6-month period for all regulation required asset divestments and 100% synergies on all Finance FTEs.• Requested by the Department of Health (DoH) to address concerns regarding pandemic and terrorist activities that might close international borders and prevent essential medicines being brought into the UK. As Teva UK CFO, delivered a 5-year Government Essential Medicines stockpile contract to counter-act potential risks. Reviewed government contract; identified key buy-back and market impact clauses; defined strategy to deliver stockpile; liaised with DoH, Corporate, PwC and SEC; and negotiated key changes to government contract. Succeeded in winning tender and recognising US$60m revenue. Contract subsequently renewed.• Spearheaded the end-to-end introduction of Enterprise Risk Management practices throughout Teva Europe and created robust Heat Risk Maps and Business Continuity plans for 5 major countries.• Introduced full FCPA and anti-Bribery Act compliance within 1 year as Compliance Officer for Teva UK.• Successfully attracted, developed, mentored and retained key finance and wider business talent.• Developed and delivered financial training courses in collaboration with professional trainers, improving employee engagement with the financial performance of the business and helping to ensure all key decisions were also smart financial decisions.
