Business Insurance Actuarial Product -- Workers CompensationManaged team supporting Workers Compensation guaranteed cost pricing tools for small commercial and middle markets business units. Maintained and improved the tools (used by 8 BU's and over 1,000 users) and coordinated a number of key projects, partnering with product, research and development, information technology and the business units.- Coordinated addition of Workers Comp to the new multi-line pricing tool -- a multi-year project to replace the legacy pricing tool that had been used for Workers Comp since the 1990's. The predictive models were restructured, the tool was completely rebuilt and significant improvements were made to the automation features in the tool.- Spearheaded a project to implement a powerful new variable to the predictive models, including coordinating with the field organization for new data capture.

Personal Insurance Research and DevelopmentManaged team of 10 to 12 highly technical professionals focused on predictive modeling work. Oversaw a number of key projects, partnering with Product Management and the National Product teams.- Directed the R&D team piloting the Travelers Insurance Score model -- a scoring model built by R&D to replace the FICO scoring model previously in use.- Oversaw analytics for InitelliDrive -- an optional pay-as-you-drive product where the insured's mileage is tracked and verified by an electronic device installed in the insured's vehicle.- Managed the development of predictor models to optimize the use of third party information, such as motor Vehicle Reports and ChoicePoint Current Carrier reports.

Project represented a major shift in Travelers strategy in New Jersey and an innovative product for the New Jersey marketplace.- Product Manager for the introduction of the Travelers Auto Product in Texas. Product was implemented in a county mutual. Writing Personal Insurance policies on non-Travelers paper was a first for the company.
