I am a freelance trumpet player based in London. I have played with a number of orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Amadeus, London Arts, Cambridge Festival and Guildford Symphony. Solo work includes performances with King’s College London Symphony Orchestra (Hummel Trumpet Concerto) and the Jubilate Ensemble (Telemann Trumpet Concerto). I am a founding member of Meridian Brass, a brass quartet with a focus on arranging and performing works not often associated with brass instruments, largely from the Romantic and 20th Century periods. I enjoy a wide mix of musical styles aside from classical music, and am equally at home in a jazz or pop setting. I spent two winter seasons playing with an après-ski band in Zermatt, in the Swiss Alps, and still appear frequently with the band for weddings and functions across much of Europe. I have also worked in pit bands for a great number of musical theatre shows, as well as playing in big bands and small jazz ensembles.Alongside my performing career, I am involved in a great deal of community and outreach work, and work regularly for the LPO’s Education and Community Department. I have a strong belief in music’s ability to help people and break down barriers. Recent projects include working with Leonard Cheshire Disability, Crisis Skylight, Shooting Star CHASE, Animate Orchestra and a number of schools in South London dealing with autism and various behavioural disorders.
Listed skills include Orchestral Music, Music, Chamber Music, Classical, and 7 others.
