I graduated from Waikato University in 1993, with a Bachelor of Management (hons) major in accounting and finance. Starting my career at Deloitte's in FAS and the Corporate tax team. In 1994 I started a commercial water blasting contracting company with a new type of surface cleaning technology sourced from the United States. The company then acquired contracts with oil companies cleaning truck stops throughout the North Island. This company grew to include commercial sweeping, technical hazardous cleaning and graffiti removal for councils. I sold this company in 1996. During this time I had a deep interest in Environmental Sustainability and In 1995 I founded an environmental contracting company. Within a very short time this business grew to be the largest company of its type in New Zealand undertaking such diverse work as the Environmental Reinstatement of the Golden Cross mine site in Waihi and the Albany to Puhoi Motorway environmental reinstatement.I always had an interest in manufacturing and in 2001 I acquired a food manufacturing business, Asado Foods. Asado Foods operated in multiple segments of the New Zealand market and built a technical products export business in Japan. In 2006 a large food manufacturing company acquired Asado Foods Ltd. At the time of selling Asado Foods Ltd, it was a significant business with a staff of over 100 people.Subsequent to this I acquired Active Adventures and am very privileged to be involved with such a great company, providing clients with incredible experiences and lifetime memories.
