Hence my newest venture developing small molecule extraction products, In-Frit eXtraction, based on using polymeric coatings entrained in porous frits in an immobilized liquid extraction process. The first product, IFX pipette tips, produce extremely clean Lc-MS samples from biological fluids in two minutes!I started my first company based on a discovery in graduate school, manufacturing capillary columns for GC. That Company is now owned by Agilent. I developed a water-based process for remediating hydrocarbon contaminated soil and started a company to use the technology. I started a second capillary column manufacturing company called Chromatix, renamed Inventx which is now owned by Phenomenex Inc. I developed the column manufacturing facility for VICI Biotech. Developed a clinical invitro diagnostics product using polymers in lieu of solvents for the lab automation company Tecan AG.We developed a water-based cannabinoid extraction process in 2017 and joined Essentia Scientific in San Leandro, CA to produce solventless powdered CBDA and CBGA concentratesI have multiple patents, have been a plenary speaker and consultant worldwide. I raised three boys on a 1,000-acre cattle ranch, raced motorcycles, sailed single handed from SF to Kuai, sailed the south pacific, learned to fly, restored and raced a 1921 wooden tugboat blah blah.
