I have more than a decade of experience in environmental policy, sustainable development, and indigenous peoples rights, working with diverse stakeholders in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. My mission is to support global social justice and environmental sustainability, especially for rural and indigenous communities. I am a co-founder of Labata Fantalle Organization, a grassroots NGO that provides training, advocacy, and cultural preservation for pastoralists in Ethiopia. I also led the country operations of Slow Food, an international movement that promotes local food systems and biodiversity.
