• Responsibility for the management of a troop of 25 comprising of multi skilled individuals, with assets of over £1.25M
• Maintain 24 hour availability of assets in order to provide teams at very high readiness to deal with any potential explosive hazard. Ensuring all risk is mitigated to as low as possible to ensure public safety at all.
• Planning and implementation of a Very High Readiness team to train and deploy with deployed elements of 16 Air Assault Brigade to provide ammunition technical support.
• Planning and execution of specialised continuation training for Explosive Ordnance Disposal operators, liaising with Police, Fire and rescue services and specialist organisations to provide realistic training.
• Subject matter expert for explosive safety in the East of England. Providing expertise to a range on agencies and organisations
• Work within a multi-agency environment, liaising between and across governmental and non-governmental agencies, working with stakeholders to maximise resources.

Ammunition Technical Officers course split into two phases across two locations. Phase one last six months and provides the scientific knowledge and background understanding. Also completed a syndicated project looking at the effect of blast on different urban environments. Phase two covered ammunition systems, storage and licensing, munitions.
