Think of me as an evidence-based storyteller; the data combined with the methodological, theoretical, and statistical rigor of my work give shape to the narrative and allow me to speak with confidence, authority, and certainty. I use research, data, and statistics to understand people and develop novel, actionable insights. As a social psychologist, my work has required an odd mix of intellectual rigor, creativity, and cleverness in crafting research designs that translate abstract ideas into something tangible and testable while formulating research questions that maximize impact. Remaining open and adaptable, playing with new ideas, working with collaborators and stakeholders, giving and taking thoughtful criticism, and applying knowledge from one setting to another are at the heart of what I have done as a research scientist. These skills transfer directly and powerfully to a wide range of settings – UX research, management consulting, or whenever you want to use research and data to understand people.I have been conducting publication-quality research on human cognition and behavior since 2008. From these many years of designing and managing primary research projects, I possess a broad set of research and quantitive skills, enabling me to be an active, flexible and productive researcher across a variety of settings. My work has utilized longitudinal, cross-sectional, and experimental methods; structured interviews and focus groups; and modern quantitative tools. With formal training in multiple regression, ANOVA, A/B testing, multivariate statistics, mediation, SEM, and longitudinal data analysis/LGM, plus additional formal exposure to MLM and Bayesian statistics, I command proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., SPSS, Mplus, SAS) and have a strong foundation for learning more. My primary research topics include culture, judgment and decision-making, academic achievement, temporal psychological factors, well-being, and motivation.American Citizen.Vaccinated and 2x boosted.Education highlights: Williams College undergrad.
