I am a senior at the University of Rhode Island working towards a Bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism. During my four semesters at URI I was on the Dean's List for each semester. In college I have worked in restaurants which has done a wonderful job in helping me become a people person who can make small talk with people; something that has helped me tremendously when conducting interviews for potential stories. I have written countless articles for classes duding my time at URI. I am also lucky enough to have my work published in three different newspapers, the Good Five Cent Cigar, the Warwick Beacon and the Valley Breeze.I began my journey to a journalism degree with the aspirations of being a sports writer, my number one passion. While I still love sports and would love to be a sports writer for a newspaper or magazine one day, I have grown to truly love the profession of journalism as a whole and am open to wherever my degree will take me in the industry. I plan on starting my career in print journalism but would not be opposed to becoming a news anchor or being on television.
