Worked at Oliver Agency to work Client side for Investec Asset Management and be the email campaign manager. I would work with the PM teams to create multiple channel emails, often with short turn around times. I would be responsible for coding, and pushing new designs of existing email templates as well as making sure that every email send follows the team process. During my 6 months here I helped to create new eye catching emails and step away from their normal email templates, made effective changes to the email process to streamline sends and worked on some intense reactionary projects like the US election results and the company 2017 email strategy.

I used to work in Bromley South for Contiki Holidays who are a youth travel brand and specialize in touring holidays for 18-30. They are a leading brand within the travel industry with tours all over the world from Australia and Asia to Europe and South America.As the Email Producer I am responsible for Planning, Designing, Building and Sending of all Contiki emails, I am tasked with growing their email databases in each region. I was asked to become the “go to guy” on everything email, whether that was best email design practices or showing others how to set up and send an email within Exact Target. I also worked hard to improve our emails making them less image based and using live text where possible and coding them to become responsive, meaning on mobile devices we got higher interactions and opens.I have worked hard on the customer journey side of the email channel setting up automated emails to help email become a vital part of booking a holiday with Contiki.My day-to-day means I work heavily within Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Exact Target to very tight deadlines often getting email briefs last minute and with very short turn around. I thrive in these conditions balancing many campaigns at once and sending out emails to 8 different selling regions.

I worked for JML Direct in Kentish Town for 2 years where I became responsible for all web graphics. I was taken on to re-design the company’s shopping website which launched in October 2010. I also dis any web campaign graphics such as affiliate banners, Emails and also designing any social media graphics that they may need. I also built several Microsites for the branded product ranges such as Mantis car care range and Shark steam mops.I was the only web designer in a team of package designers so I was working to quick turn-around briefs and working closely with the design studio manager and the sales and marketing managers to complete the briefs to a the right specifications.I also started targeting a more Email design and build role in the team, taking responsibility for designing in Photoshop the emails and then using Dreamweaver to code them and then our email marketing program to send out to the data lists. I became a valuable asset to the team as I was the only one who could code and send out an email within the team. I enjoyed the extra responsibilities in this role and pursued this in my next role.

I worked in-house for Tiscali at the start of 2009 in London Soho. I was responsible for designing many competition headers that appeared on the Tiscali Portal website. I also designed graphics to help sell products on the site and promote microsites such as seasonal Easter and Mother’s Day sites. I was part of the design team that came up with the new glowing effect headers that were a prominent feature on each page. I would also be responsible for up-dating features across the Portal such as building and coding modules in the CMS system to display and update content on the Tiscali site. This could be anything from the TV pages to updating the homepage. I designed many main features for microsites such as flash games, which were then built by the flash developers, and this was to great success helping me be voted for a hard worker award. I also built many different monthly emails and worked on the re-design of many in-house emails. I enjoyed working on the creative projects and had a lot of input with the rest of the studio when it came to working on larger projects, as well as being left to work on the less interesting tasks of batch image processing and updating the CMS system with data entry. I worked with a great team and learnt many things as well as building on my design skills.

WickedWeb are Creative agency in Kent. I became a key part of their creative team designing and building big name websites for clients such as Thorpe Park, London Fashion Weekend and HTML emails for MISS SIXTY and ENERGIE.I was responsible for many projects from pitch right through to the launch date, working with the account handling team to make sure all deadlines where met. Working on Thorpe Park was a real challenge as they had regular design changes with new themed price offers such as “Screamsaver” and “August Action”. I was responsible for designing a brand for each of these events with their own look and feel that would reach out to the customer and drive ticket sales. I would regularly make web amends, changing images or text as well as creating new promotional pages in HTML and CSS. This is just one of the many different clients I worked on during my time at Wickedweb and these tasks where part of a busy day-to-day schedule that I would have to manage.
