I have yet to find a challenge that couldn’t be solved!A solid foundation in physics and fluid mechanics engineering, combined with sheer fascination of the possibilities of functional and protective chemistry layers, fuels my passion for creating coating solutions and solving process problems that enable process engineers to bring new products to market. Real, practical equipment designs come to life through in depth understanding of the technical needs of each project. With experience that runs the gamut from R&D nano-particle deposition to continuous manufacturing equipment on high speed production lines, creative customization and aggressive time to market are challenges that are overcome on a regular basis. A varied background of service aboard a nuclear submarine, physics education, and extensive hands-on mentorship with the inventor of ultrasonic atomization nozzle technology gives me expertise that is truly unique. Publishing technical articles, developing protective patents, and managing and training a group of talented engineers keeps me grounded and connected to the industries served and the scientists that are hopefully benefiting from the knowledge I’ve shared in the projects I’ve been involved with. The most gratifying moments are, for me, when theory is proven in practical results from skilled design solutions developed through successful partnerships.
