Mr. Hunter is an award-winning theatre professional with broad ranging experience in movement, acting, and choreography with specialized expertise in fight direction, stage combat, and Western hoplology. He has more than twenty-five years of experience as a professional actor (AEA and SAG/AFTRA), Fight Director and movement instructor. Robb is a Certified Teacher, Fight Director and Theatrical Firearms Instructor for the Society of American Fight Directors and is a Director/Choreographer in the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.He is Artist in Residence at American University (teaching acting, history, movement and combat) and has been there since 2008; he is the Combat instructor in The Catholic University of America’s MFA program (since 2005); and has been the Combat instructor for the Tony Award winning Shakespeare Theatre’s MFA program, The Academy for Classical Acting, since 2017.He has taught movement/combat for numerous other university programs and conservatories nationwide including the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Training Program at the Kennedy Center, The American Musical & Dramatic Academy (NYC), The Shakespeare Theatre (DC), The Studio Theatre Conservatory and many others. Robb owns and manages the theatrical weapons prop company, Preferred Arms, Inc., which he founded in 2003.
